We will be taking part in the Disability Pride parade again this year which kicks off this amazing festival of events StoryhouseLive. Take a look what is happening and join in. We might just see you there.

Kaleidoscope Festival is a weeklong programme of performances, events, workshops, and activities that are programmed specifically for and by the learning-disabled community.

Our staff and amazing volunteers attended the One Chester Community Partnership Neighbourhood Network event last week at Chester Town Hall. It was a great opportunity for meaningful networking and to make connections with other local services offering lots of help and support that may benefit our members. Thanks to for organising the event and to our volunteers for giving up their time to showcase what the West Cheshire Autism Hub and our service provider Dial West Cheshire offer. Also thanks to See Communications featuring Peoples Choice Group for the fabulous knitted stress balls that we gave away to visitors at our stall.

This easy to complete survey by Scope means you can feedback your experiences of PIP for The Timms Review either anonymously or in your name. You can write as little or as much as you want and the questions guide you through the information the review is looking to include.

Known as The Timms Review, they are looking to hear views and evidence from disabled people on their experiences of the PIP process.

The DWP have issued a call for evidence to gather feedback and insight to inform the Timms Review of Personal Independence Payment (PIP).

The Timms Review is committed to engaging with disabled people, the organisations that represent them, carers, clinicians, experts, MPs, and other stakeholders. All evidence submitted will be made available to a steering group and DWP will create a summary response to support the steering group in consolidating the evidence received.

The Review would like to gather feedback and insight relating to the areas outlined in the Terms of Reference. From the Terms of Reference, the steering group has shaped the work of the Review around four key themes:
• the role and purpose of PIP
• eligibility, fairness and equity in the award of PIP
• experience of claiming PIP
• changing context and the impact on PIP underpinned by some specific areas the group would like to focus upon

Individuals and organisation must respond to the call for evidence by 11:59 pm on 28 May 2026 and can respond:

• Online - https://bit.ly/423HZGJ (You can submit your response anonymously). If your response includes attachments, or exceeds the character limit of the online form, please email your response to us on [email protected].
