Frack Free Dee is a network of community groups campaigning against fracking and unconventional gas extraction in Cheshire, North Wales and Wirral. We're all volunteer, and are an inclusive and non-hierarchical group which wholly welcomes other people to get involved, no matter how much or little time and support they can commit. We're not a separate group here to stop fracking, we are concerned r
esidents who want to do what we can to stop this industry taking hold on our doorsteps. We're firmly non-political, but that's not to say if you're associated with a political party you're not welcome. We work as a network to share skills, resources and strategies in order to help make everyone's campaign equally as successful, to avoid pitfalls, and to reduce the duplication of work. One of our foremost aims is to raise awareness and quash some of the industry myths. We don't expect everyone to simply believe what we tell them, we encourage independent research beyond the industry's own propaganda, which is understandably biased as firms stand to gain financially from it.
