WO1 Spencer brings a wealth of experience, leadership and commitment to the role, and we are confident that he will be an outstanding Regimental Sergeant Major.

As the senior non-commissioned officer within the County, the RSM plays a vital role in supporting our cadets, adult volunteers and the wider leadership team.

🎖️ B.I.A. Success for our Volunteers! 🎖️

Congratulations to our Adult Volunteers who passed their Basic Instructor Assessment (B.I.A.) course last week!

The course is a key part of developing the instructional skills needed to deliver exciting, safe and effective training to our cadets.

What a fantastic opportunity for our newly qualified instructors to receive their certificates from Army Cadets UK National Ambassador, Jordan Wylie.

We're incredibly proud of all those who completed the assessment and grateful for the time, effort and dedication they give to Durham Army Cadet Force.

🎖️ APPOINTMENT ANNOUNCEMENT | DEPUTY COMMANDANT

We are proud to announce the appointment of Major Corina Hart as the new Deputy Commandant of Durham Army Cadet Force.

Major Hart brings with her a wealth of experience, commitment and a genuine passion for supporting our cadets and adult volunteers. Her approachable nature and kind personality make her a fantastic addition to the County’s senior leadership team.

We are sure Major Hart will be an outstanding Deputy Commandant and look forward to seeing her take on this important role as we continue to Inspire, Develop and Empower the next generation.

A Visit from the Lord-Lieutenant of Durham

Yesterday, we had the privilege of welcoming the Lord-Lieutenant of Durham, Michael Butterwick CBE DL, to Annual Camp.

During his visit, he toured the stands, taking the time to catch up with our cadets and adults and see first-hand the fantastic activities taking place across camp.

The visit was followed by presentations for our Master Cadets, recognising their achievements and dedication.

We were also delighted to present the Commandant’s Coin from Durham, a special recognition.

He even managed to bump into a familiar face along the way! 👋 The Fusiliers
