1st Fatfield Scouts

05/10/2026

Over the weekend we had our Scouts and Explorers at Confido along with 1200 other from across Durham Scouts.

They were a credit to the group and all had a fantastic time speeding down zip lines, learning survival skills, jumping on inflatables and even karaoke on stage to hundreds of other Scouts.

A big thanks to the Leader Team who went, I think we all needed 12 hours of sleep yesterday! Till next year Confido!

Hi everyone,

Just a quick reminder that this Saturday is our AGM + Awards Day all group members and families are invited to come along and see what we have all been up to over the last year. The weather is looking good so there may even be a chance to make s'mores or test your aim on our range!

Saturday 19th September 12pm at The Hut

Can't wait to see you all there

Another early start to pack camp away…

Competition results and trophies were presented and we invested one of our newest members into the group

Another great Summer Camp, we had a lot of first timers, everyone got stuck in and tried new things throughout the week - well done everyone! 🏕️ ☀️

Also, thanks to the leader team who all give up their time and holidays to make it all happen 🏅

(Note to parents : Scouts are more than capable of cooking and washing up, however, keeping their rooms tidy is still a work in progress) 😂

Our last full day at camp, we were back with the team at Keswick Extreme for a morning Ghyll scrambling

Plenty of jumps, slides and splashes as we descended Stonycroft Ghyll

A trip into Keswick followed by a chippy tea and cake for Jak’s birthday (tomorrow) 🎂

As the weather is nice, some are sleeping under the stars tonight ✨
