HYMB - Herts Young Mariners Base HYMB has been offering outdoor educational opportunities to both adults and young people from Hertfordshire and surrounding areas for over 50 years.

HYMB has been offering outdoor educational opportunities to both adults and young people from Hertfordshire and surrounding areas for over 60 years. From initially offering mainly watersports, over the past decade we have expanded in to other areas, for example caving, climbing and problem solving/team building activities. HYMB is in partnership with Youth Connexions Hertfordshire. HYMB can now ac

commodate up to 180 participants at any one time, whether school students, youth groups and clubs, HYMB members activities or corporate days for business’s. We offer a wide range of activities to both groups and individuals.

We are currently recruiting Lifeguards and Paddle Instructors for the season.

Herts Young Mariners Base is seeking motivated and enthusiastic individuals who are eager to build on their existing skills or develop new ones, joining a dynamic and supportive outdoor adventure team.

Successful candidates will receive fully funded training, including the Ready to Ride Award, PSRC, PSI and Swim Safety Rescue qualifications, providing an excellent opportunity for professional development within a unique and rewarding environment.

The weather is warming up and so is our Open Water Swimming! 🌞

With warm weather forecasted over the next week, there’s no better time to get back into the water and join us for an unforgettable swim experience.

We’re also excited to announce that our course has now moved to Western Lagoon – giving swimmers an even more natural open water feel and a fantastic new setting to enjoy.

Whether you’re training, relaxing, or trying open water swimming for the first time, come and enjoy our beautiful spring-fed water and friendly atmosphere.
