💙 Father’s Day at Prince of Wales Youth Club 💙

Last week, we celebrated Father’s Day by making special cards for all the amazing dads, stepdads, grandads, uncles, guardians, and everyone else who helps care for and support our young people.

We hope you all enjoyed receiving your handmade cards. The children spent so much time creating them, and it was lovely to see everyone getting stuck in. There was so much creativity on display, with some of the children even making two or three Father’s Day cards!

It was a fantastic session filled with creativity, fun, and smiles. Thank you to everyone who plays such an important role in our young people’s lives. 💙

🎨⚽ Creative fun at Prince of Wales Youth Club this week!

Our young people took part in an arts and crafts session where everyone created the World Cup 2026 art board. Each person designed a letter or number, coming together to make one amazing team project! 🌍🏆

It was fantastic to see everyone getting involved, showing off their creativity, and working together. There were plenty of smiles, great teamwork, and lots of fun throughout the session.

Great team work, great creativity🎨, and lovely smiles all around 😊

What a fantastic session at Prince of Wales Youth Club last week! 🎉

We started the evening in the Spots Hall, where our young people played cricket. We then made our way up to the dance studio where the young people enjoyed a variety of activities including, pool, table tennis, piano, dancing, and gymnastics mats. It was great to see everyone getting involved, trying new things, and having fun together.

At 18:00pm, we were delighted to welcome two very special visitors from East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust – the Deputy Head of Nursing and the Director of Nursing.

They spent time with both our junior and senior members, asking for their views and experiences around hospitals and nursing. Discussions included what young people know about nursing, what might make them feel worried or scared when visiting a hospital, and what could help make their experience better.

The young people shared their thoughts confidently and respectfully, providing valuable feedback and ideas. We are incredibly proud of how well they engaged throughout the session.

As a result of these discussions, some of our young people have been invited to visit the paediatric ward during the summer holidays to have a look around, identify what works well, and suggest areas for improvement.

A huge thank you to our visitors for taking the time to listen to our young people and for giving them the opportunity to help shape services for children and young people in our community.

Well done to everyone involved – another brilliant evening at Prince of Wales Youth Club! 💙

🏐💙 Fun and teamwork at Prince of Wales Youth Club! 💙🏐

Our young people had a fantastic time playing bench ball this week, with lots of energy, laughter, and team spirit on display throughout the session.

The children chose their own teams, encouraging independence and teamwork, while our young volunteers Lily and Florie stepped up as team captains, helping to motivate and support their teammates throughout the game.

It was wonderful to see everyone getting involved, making new friends, building confidence, and most importantly, having fun together. Sessions like these are a great reminder of the positive impact that sport and play can have in bringing our community together.

A big thank you to Lily and Florie for their leadership and enthusiasm, and well done to all of our young people for making it such an enjoyable session! 🌟

🌍✨ Celebrating International Children’s Day at Prince of Wales Youth Club ✨🌍

This week, our young people marked International Children’s Day by creating characters based on the careers they hope to have when they grow up. It was wonderful to see their creativity shine as they shared their ambitions, supported one another, and brought their ideas to life.

At Prince of Wales Youth Club, we are proud to provide a space where young people can explore their interests, build confidence, and be inspired to dream big.

The session was made even more special with delicious chocolate brownies baked by our youth worker Ally and young volunteer Lilly, whose continued support at our junior sessions helps create a welcoming and positive environment for everyone.

A huge thank you to all our young people, volunteers, and staff who make our club such a vibrant community. Together, we are helping to nurture the next generation and celebrate every child’s potential. 💙

What a great evening at Prince of Wales Youth Club! 🎉

Our juniors celebrated International Paper Aeroplane Day by making their very own paper planes and competing to see whose could fly the furthest… and the winner was youth worker Louis 😂👏 Well done!

The juniors also enjoyed pool, table tennis, chalkboards, gymnastics on the mats and lots of other fun games 🏓🤸‍♀️🎱

For seniors, we baked delicious homemade shortbread biscuits — super easy to make and even better to eat 🍪😋 While some were busy baking, others headed down to the sports hall for football and other sports activities with sports connect⚽️🙌

Another great session filled with laughter, fun and friendships🌟

Another brilliant night at Prince of Wales Youth Club 💙

The young people had so much fun taking part in lots of different activities including toss the ball with the parachute, bulldog, dodgeball, circle time and circle games 🎈🏐✨ Everyone got fully involved, encouraged each other and showed amazing teamwork throughout the evening.

A special part of the session was celebrating Max’s birthday 🥳 Everyone came together to sing Happy Birthday and celebrate with some delicious chocolate cake 🎂 It was lovely to see all the young people making Max feel special and included.

One thing we love most about our youth club is how close everyone is. The young people get on so well with each other, everyone is welcoming and supportive, and it’s amazing to see friendships continue to grow every week. No matter what activity we are doing, everyone plays so nicely together, looks out for one another and makes sure everyone feels part of the group 💫

We are so proud of the kind, caring and positive environment our young people create every session. Another evening full of laughter, fun and memories made!

At Prince of Wales Youth Club we took part in Thank You Thursday 💙

Our young people were asked to think about someone they appreciate and would like to say thank you to. They then created thoughtful and creative thank you cards filled with kind messages, drawings and personal touches. It was lovely to see everyone getting involved, supporting each other and letting their creativity shine throughout the session ✨

The activity encouraged kindness, appreciation and positive conversations, and the young people really enjoyed having the opportunity to recognise the people who make a difference in their lives.

Alongside our Thank You Thursday activity, the young people also enjoyed a range of games and activities throughout the evening including pool, table tennis, circle games and board games 🎱🏓🎲

A brilliant session full of fun, creativity, laughter and teamwork — well done to everyone who joined in.

To celebrate International Museum Day, we created our very own museum gallery artwork at Prince of Wales Youth Club 🎨🖼️

The young people painted pictures they thought would look fantastic displayed on a museum wall and let their creative imaginations shine ✨ We added borders around each piece to create frames, and now we have a beautiful display of museum-inspired artwork at the club!

We are so proud of everyone’s creativity and effort 💙
