We hope all our students are having a lovely half term break! ✨

Just a reminder that there are no Saturday classes tomorrow! 🔐

A request from us: pretty please refer to the term dates on our website (basicsjuniortheatre.co.uk/calendar/month/) before reaching out with queries! With almost 500 children across our school, the Basics Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and email inboxes are very busy and we’d hate to miss your message 🙏🏼

We’re SO excited to be back in the studio on Sunday for our annual Graduation Audition Day! We can’t wait to see so many Rising, Shining and All Stars students perform! 🤩

Classes are back on as usual from Monday 2nd Nov 🧡

‘WE WILL ROCK YOU’ 2026 🎸🙌🏼🎤⚡️🎶🤟🏼❤️‍🔥

What a way to close one truly spectacular show - with a well-deserved sixth and final standing ovation from the near 500 audience members in our FULL HOUSE!

As Principal at Basics, I am beyond proud of the talent, creativity and passion showcased on the Pendle Hippodrome stage throughout our run.

‘We Will Rock You’ was a real team effort and I’d like to take a moment to thank every one of the incredible people involved in making it a roaring success - our exceptional production team at the helm (Adam, Andrew & Helen) & vocal coaches (Jess & Kiki), our sensational Senior students onstage, our rehearsal pianists in the studio, our band of professionals in the pit, our technicians, production & stage management team behind the scenes, all who volunteered front-of-house at the theatre, those who supported with props & costuming, our hair & makeup artists backstage, the team of chaperones in the dressing rooms & Kathryn Driver who leads on all things ‘licensing’, our photographers & videographers, the team at Tubbs for an amazing after-show party & WWRY-themed cocktails, Katie Dickinson for making the most amazing cake for our cast, the Basics family in the audience for your overwhelming support & incredible feedback and, finally, the amazing lady who makes it all possible - Basics’ founder & seamstress, Sally, for her tremendous vision and devotion to Basics.

To our Senior Company - an extremely special cast. Your unbelievable skill, immense teamwork & astounding dedication made for a week of phenomenal performances. You poured your hearts into your show & were utterly breathtaking. Every single student played an important part in delivering a professional-standard production & we’re so proud of you. We hope you’re enjoying your break as much as we loved watching you reap the rewards of your hard work & do what you do best on show week! We’d like to take a moment to recognise & celebrate this year’s cohort of Senior graduates - who each have a very bright future ahead of them. Seniors, you are part of a v special family. Please look through these production photos & comments left by audience members throughout your run & feel extremely PROUD! 🧡

Wishing a very happy birthday to ‘the main man’ - our Principal and Producer, Andy 🧡

The hours Andy devotes to keeping Basics running are reflective of his endless passion and care for all the students in our school. Whether he’s working in the office, greeting families on the front door, presenting showcases in the studio, sitting in the audience at our productions, creating props and scenery in the back room, having his hair done by our Little Stars or doing the jobs nobody else wants to do - Andy’s energy, warmth and commitment never waver. Although he might feel old and knackered (🤪), his enthusiasm and dedication suggest otherwise.

Happy Birthday, Andy! We don’t know what we’d do without you 🧡
