Meet Nasabak, a wild male orangutan who began appearing in the forest around Sepilok last year.

Adult male orangutans can have large ranges, moving through different areas of forest over time. Six months on, Nasabak seems to be making himself at home.

From coast to coast, fantastic fundraisers Beverley and Diana walked an incredible 84 miles along Hadrian's Wall Path to support our work conserving and protecting orangutans.

Over six days, they tackled rugged trails, steep climbs and exposed stretches of moorland, embracing every challenge the route had to offer.

Thanks to their determination and generosity, they have raised an amazing £1,130 so far - what a remarkable achievement!

A big thank you to our departing Liaison Officer Julie (right) for all her dedication, energy and hard work at Sepilok. A warm welcome to Maria (left), who is stepping into the role for the next three months.

Happy World Binturong Day!
Binturongs, also known as bearcats, are one of the many lesser-known species that share the rainforest home of orangutans.

They also play an important role in the ecosystem by dispersing seeds, helping the forest regenerate naturally.

Protecting orangutans also means protecting the forest they belong to, and the many other species that depend on it.
