Well, they carried the flags at Denewulf's St George's Day Parade, so it's about time we formally announced them!

Congratulations to our three Youth Representatives, who were elected at our District Youth Forum by their fellow Explorers, and will help to inform our decisions from the point of view of the young people. There's a short introduction to each of them below!

Hi, I'm Kara Nash, I'm an explorer at Watkins ESU and a young leader at 2nd Fareham Scouts. I'm really looking forward to meeting other explorers and younger sections, helping them access the amazing opportunities available in scouting.

Hi, I'm Marie Colwell, I'm an explorer at Watkins ESU and a young leader at Ellen McArthur Sea Scouts, and Osprey Cubs. I can't wait to help facilitate the change needed in making our district more youth-led and hearing your voice.

Hi there, I am Ruby Mackay, and I am an explorer at Meon Valley ESU and a young leader for 1st Wickham. I am kind, caring and passionate and would love to make a difference to the scout community. 😁

Well done to all of you, it'll be great to work together for youth-led Scouting in Denewulf!

A St George's Day of two places for the Youth Team. Our three new District Youth Reps were a fantastic colour party today at Bishop's Waltham Palace. Huge congratulations to Kara, Marie and Ruby for their election to be the first Denewulf young people in this role.

Meanwhile, in Windsor, Jason celebrated the achievement of his King's Scout Award. A fantastic day to celebrate the achievements of all those who've worked hard for the highest award in Scouting. Zara, Denewulf's DLV, was there too!

Fantastic to be at Meon Valley ESU last night for a Youth Workshop, lots of interesting ideas to take away about the opportunities we can provide!

A huge congratulations to the four from Meon who were awarded their Silver DofEs last night. Also, well done to Noah from Sea Dragon who was awarded his Young Leader Belt on Monday for all his work with 2nd Fareham Squirrels. It's great to see so many young people achieving their Top Awards. If you need any support just let us know!

Jason was on the first Project 27 training weekend with Hampshire Scouts, meeting the team properly and preparing for the trip next year. The nerf war, fire and pioneering defences were all great fun!

Please note that Explorers are in the morning and Scouts are in the afternoon.

For Leaders: All sections and units have received a shared OSM event, so please accept this and invite your young people. If you don't have it, please let us know.

We currently have a few vacancies in GLV (Group Lead Volunteer) positions in the District; please take a look at the below if you think you could help!

There are lots of other ways to volunteer, too, from a Skills Instructor to a Section Leader. It is all very rewarding. Please DM us if you're interested so we can find the right place for you.
