Waterside Health Bus Launches this September 🚌

The Waterside Health Bus is delighted to announce the launch of the Waterside Health Bus, a new community service provided by the Waterside Primary Care Network, bringing health and wellbeing support closer to local residents.

The Health Bus will begin its fortnightly visiting schedule from the week commencing Monday 21st September, visiting communities and local facilities across the Waterside.

They'll be in the EB Village Hall Car Park Tuesday 22nd 10am to 1pm.

The service has been designed to make it easier for local people to access health checks, preventative health advice, and personalised wellbeing support, right in their own community.

What will the Health Bus offer?

Depending on the location, residents will be able to access a range of support including:

NHS Health Checks Blood pressure checks Cardiovascular health and prevention advice Healthy lifestyle and weight management support Stop smoking support Diabetes and prediabetes support Mental health and wellbeing support Signposting to NHS and local community services

The locations have been specifically chosen to reach residents living in those communities or using the facilities nearby. The aim is to take health and wellbeing support to people, rather than expecting residents to travel elsewhere to access it.
