Ferny Crofts is a Scout activity centre in the heart of the New Forest, offering a range of outdoor activities, camping space and indoor accommodation.

Ferny Crofts is a Scout outdoor activity centre and campsite owned and managed by Hampshire County Scout Council. Set in 31 acres of the beautiful New Forest National Park, our location is idyllic. Onsite high-level activities add to the attraction and include abseiling, adventure course, archery, bushcraft, climbing, crate stack, high ropes, raft building, rifle shooting, team build and zip wire.

We also have off site links to water activities. The centre offers indoor accommodation in the form of two 32 bed units and one 6 bed unit which can be either catered or self catered. Camping for up to 500 is also on offer; campsites of various sizes are available both in the woods and on open fields.

***Activity of the month***

Our Low Ropes course features an array of engaging elements, from balance beams to rope bridges, all designed to challenge and inspire.

This course is tailored to meet diverse needs and skill levels, ensuring everyone can participate and thrive.

This activity can be run as a self-led session by Scout Groups!

Make camp easier and hire a section of our Marquee!

Available to hire in sections, the marquee comes equipped with tables and benches and can be used for dining, indoor activities and escaping the wet weather in winter.

EVENT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Our events wouldn't be the success they are without all our amazing volunteers, and we are now looking for volunteers for our upcoming 2026 events:

* Squirrels Fun Day - 19th September
* Beavers Fun Day- 20th September
* Fright Night - 17th October

There is the option to camp for these events when volunteering, or stay in our indoor accommodation (if available). *Under 18's must have an over 18 present if camping overnight.
