We had a rather less active month in May then we’ve had of late - but that’s a great thing to see as it means people in our communities probably haven’t been having as many medical emergencies! Through the month we attended and arrived on scene first at 11 Category 1 and 7 Category 2 incidents, travelling just under 160 miles in the process. Thank for all of your continued support that helps to keep us on the road saving lives.

Yesterday evening we were invited along to Leedons Park near Broadway, as they were holding a fundraising event with the proceeds being donated to our charity. We are delighted to say they raised and donated a fantastic £1240! We are so grateful for their support, a massive thank you to them all.

Have you ever wondered just how busy Community First Responders are across the West Midlands Ambulance Service area? There are 550 active CFRs across the whole region. In 2025-26 they were mobilised to 17,900 calls, arriving first on scene at 15,590 of those incidents, helping to save countless lives along the way. These numbers represent a 38% increase in calls since 2023! Here at the Vale of Evesham Community First Responders we are extremely grateful for the support of our local business and communities that enable us to keep responding and helping people in their time of greatest need.

Robin & Martin had loads of fun this afternoon carrying out a CPR & AED awareness session for 14 ladies from the ‘Badsey Gals’. Thank you for the warm welcome (and cake) and the kind donation for our charity.

If you would like us to carry out an awareness session, either for a group of people or on a 1-2-1 basis, please get in touch via our web site

We are a charity based in the Vale of Evesham, made up of a group of volunteers who give up their time for free to respond to the highest category 999 calls on behalf of the West Midlands Ambulance Service.

Never had an evening quite like this since being a CFR. Spend some time helping out a very active group with their first aid badge. A very entertaining evening supporting the Beaver Scout Leader. A busy evening but everyone received their first aid badge.

My buddy Antony also had a successful evening demonstrating CPR to their parents on the same evening.

A very enjoyable evening for all involved.
