Last Thursday we had a good session at the centre. Some members did some lovely Fathers Day paintings to take home, some played outside, some tried out the dart board we had been gifted the week before and we checked on Challenger, the penguin we are tracking. Oh, and we had two birthdays to celebrate so we had to eat cake again.

Last Wednesday we had a great session at 4YOUth. We had two birthdays to celebrate so we had to eat cake. We found a dance game in the cupboard and the lads decided to try out their moves. I'm not sure they will forgive me for posting pictures but it could have been worse - I could have posted a video πŸ•ΊπŸ˜πŸ•ΊπŸ˜

The weather was horrible during our club session last Thursday so we got the board games out of the cupboard and had some fun. While we played, two young lads went into the kitchen and rustled up some very chocolatey chocolate cookies.

Thank you very much to the lovely lady who donated her raffle prize to 4YOUth at an event last week. As you can see from these photos, it was put to very good use during the session last Thursday. All we need to do now is improve our adding up skills.

Last week we had a visit from Steven from the Station Road Co-op. Steven and his colleagues have been very generous to 4YOUth after choosing us as their local charity to support during the winter.
Steven popped in to bring us a gift and we would like you to meet Challenger. He is a Magellanic Penguin who we are going to track. We will post updates on a regular basis but at the moment he is along the coast of Uruguay.

During our session last Wednesday, Steven from the Station Road Co-op popped in to see us (more about that soon) and we celebrated a birthday. We were a little bit early with the birthday celebrations but we got our days in a muddle - forgive us, we're getting old 🀣🀣

It seems to be raining all the time lately but on Thursday afternoon there was some sunshine so we were able to get outside and play. Inside we did some baking and practised our pool and table tennis.

On Wednesday evening the rain stopped and we were able to get outside for a while. In the meantime, inside we were sorting out a cupboard and some of the musical instruments were put to good use.

There was lots of fun and some goodies from the cooking session at our Thursday afternoon club session last week.
One young man had a nice surprise in the shape of a letter from the Lord-Lieutenant of Essex. She had written to thank him for the necklace he made and which had been given to her the previous week when she visited the centre.
We also had a visit from Christine and ex Cinque Port Deputy Mike who came in to say hello and leave us a donation to help top up the goody cupboard. While he was there, Mike managed to learn a bit of hand clapping with some members but we think he will need to return to practise a bit more.
