Santa had an amazing evening with the Porridge and Pens Ghana collecting team this evening. His final run on Christmas Eve will see him visit the Lower Town (Tower, Sydney, New, Nelson, Wellington and Silcott Streets) before he heads off to deliver everyone's presents. Did you know that the money collected during the sleigh runs is all used to support local charities and good causes? Each evening collectors representing one of our partner organisations join Santa, and in return they share 50% of the funds raised that night. The money retained by Rotary is then used to support others in our community. The sleigh running costs are minimal thanks to the amazing support of volunteers and sponsors. And the extraordinary generosity of those who come our to see Santa and donate means that over £6000 is raised each year.
