🚤 Planned Exercise Launch – Wednesday 10 June

Our all weather lifeboat ‘Antony Patrick Jones’ and D‑class inshore lifeboat 'Ernie Wellings' is scheduled to launch on exercise tomorrow evening at around 5.45pm.

As always, exercise launches are dependent on weather conditions and operational demand. If our crew is called to an emergency or conditions change, plans may alter at short notice and we may not be able to post an update.

🌊 If you’re heading to the seafront, please be aware of lifeboat operations and help us by keeping slipways and launching areas clear.

Planned Exercise Launch – Saturday 6 June

Our D‑class inshore lifeboat, 'Ernie Wellings' is scheduled to launch on exercise tomorrow morning at around 8:45am.

As always, exercise launches are subject to weather conditions and operational demand. If our crew is tasked to an emergency or conditions change, plans may be altered at short notice — and we may not always be able to post an update in time.

⚠️ Beach safety notice:

If you’re on the beach around the time of launch, please keep well clear of the lifeboat and tractor, follow any instructions from the volunteer crew, and keep dogs under close control. Giving our team space helps keep everyone safe and allows the launch to proceed quickly and smoothly.

👏 Well done, Diane! 👏

Our very own volunteer Diane Norton has successfully completed the RNLI Mayday Mile Challenge!

Diane went the extra mile , quite literally , by both walking and cycling, covering an incredible 100+ miles, and raising a fantastic £300 in support of the RNLI. 💙

A brilliant achievement and a huge thank you for your dedication and support in helping us continue to save lives at sea.

It's officially in the UK, and we wanted to say a HUGE thank you to all of our volunteers.

These recent rescues are only possible because each volunteer plays their part. From crew to shore volunteers, Launch Authorities and Lifeboat Operation Managers, volunteer lifeguards and lifeboat press officers to shop, water safety and fundraising volunteers, plus many more, we couldn't do it without you. Thank you 💙
