Tesco grant funding programme invites schools, registered charities and not-for-profit organisations supporting children to apply for up to £1,500 to improve access to fruit and veg.

Every four months, three local projects are selected to be in the customer vote in Tesco stores throughout the UK. We empower our customers to make a difference in their local community by using their blue token to vote and choose how the funding is distributed. Every project shortlisted for the vote receives funding but a vote using a blue token will make the difference to just how much funding each project receives – up to £500, £1,000 or £1,500.

From providing nutritious food in fun ways like smoothie classes through to learning how fruit and veg grows, we welcome applications that use healthy food to support nutritious diets of children and young people across the UK.

This summer we are collaborating with South Cliff Holiday Park who are supporting us by hosting a food collection point for families in Bridlington.

We are asking holidaymakers visiting the holiday park this summer to consider leaving their unopened, in date, food when they are packing up to leave after their holiday. This food will be collected by The Hinge Centre and used to support people who are struggling across Bridlington.

Type of food that can be donated:

Cereal, cereal bars, porridge oats
Pasta, rice, noodles
Tinned food
Jars of sauce
Snack meals (pot noodles, pasta pots)
Biscuits, sweets and chocolates
Tea, coffee and sugar

**Please make sure any food donated has not been opened, and does not need to be stored in a fridge or freezer. This food will have to be discarded, and we do not like to see food waste. Please take these home and enjoy yourselves.**

Please share and help us spread the word💚
