The Bridlington Sunflower

29/09/2024

Nearly October and this is my first sunflower, still
not open and not looking particularly convinced that it should bother.

22/10/2023

Just a heads up that as of now there are going to be a few changes in how The Bridlington Sunflower works.

Don’t panic, this page and the group associated with it will continue to be places for sharing pictures, experiences, hints and tips etc but I will no longer be distributing seeds or putting together the sunflower map.

I’ve loved setting up this page and group and it’s been amazing to witness the impact something as simple as a flower can have on someone’s life, but the map and the distribution of seeds is so time-consuming and my time and energy are needed elsewhere.

Keep sharing, keep posting and keep enjoying your sunflowers 🌻 💚😊

So this is is what the 2023 Bridlington Sunflower Map looks like so far.

I've got a feeling that many of you will be growing sunflowers this year but haven't told me yet and that some of you might need seeds.

Drop this page a message if you want to be added to the map and/or if you need some seeds delivering :-)

I was out delivering seeds yesterday.

If you would like some seeds to grow this year please send a private message to this page with your address.

And if you are growing sunflowers this year but don’t need seeds please private message with the location so I can add you to this year’s Bridlington Sunflower Map!

🌻🌻🌻HAPPY NEW YEAR!🌻🌻🌻

It’s hard to believe that this is the fourth year of the Bridlington Sunflower!

Together we have grown thousands of beautiful sunflowers and probably put as many smiles on as many faces.

In theory we should all have saved enough seeds for planting this Spring, but if you do need some drop a message to the page with your name and address and I will get some to you.

Even if you don’t need seeds but are planning to grow sunflowers this year let me know where in a message and I will add the location to the Bridlington Sunflower 2023 map.
