We're a local youth organisation offering life changing skills and experiences to 10-18 year olds in the Bridgwater area. As the Bridgwater Sea Cadet unit we wanted to create this page so that we can keep you informed of what is going on in the unit.

Here are some photos from the Someset & Dorset District Powerboating Competition that took place in Weymouth today. Our Cadets had to display their power boat handling and seamanship skills. This involved recovery of a man overboard, mooring between 2 buoys, towing another boat alongside, turning in a confined area and coming alongside.
Although our crew came 3rd (of the 3 Units taking part) they navigated the course with a great level of skill and each one should be incredibly proud of themselves. Thank you for representing our Unit in the competition Cadets! Thank you also to the Adult Volunteers for training the Cadets and taking them to Weymouth today.

On Saturday, to finish off the competition, our Cadets joined together with the Cadets from the other bands for a final massed band performance. Great to see them all together!

Here are the results from the South West Area Band Competition and they are fantastic! Well done to all of our Cadets and Adult Volunteers who have worked incredibly hard both today and over the last few months, it was worth it! You should all be very proud of yourselves.

Good luck to our brilliant Sea Cadet Band taking part in the South West Area Band Comp in Bristol today! The Cadets and Adult Volunteers have worked so hard over the last few months. They sound amazing. Here's a video of their performance at the Taunton Mayor Making Ceremony at St Mary's Church, Taunton, a couple weeks ago. Hopefully later on we'll have some photos and videos of their performance today!
