A fantastic day at the Conference in Manchester for Becky and Jo! šŸŽ‰

The day was packed with insightful workshops covering topics such as fraudulent debt in DROs, upcoming changes to Deferred Payment Credit agreements, and research into improving the Council Tax system.

They also had the opportunity to connect with industry professionals, explore new resources, and share ideas to help improve services for clients.

The highlight of the day was seeing Jo recognised on stage for completing her CertMAP qualification, receiving a well-deserved certificate and commemorative pen! šŸ‘

We're proud to invest in learning and development to ensure we continue providing the best possible support to the people and communities we serve šŸ’™

School holidays are meant to be a nice time, but they can make the weekly shop feel a bit heavier.

More meals at home, more snacks, and it all adds up quicker than you expect.

We speak to a lot of people who feel this pressure, especially during half terms and the summer break.

A little bit of planning can help take the edge off, and if things are already feeling tight, there is support out there.

If you need a hand with food costs, budgeting, or just figuring things out, we’re here šŸ’™

Some days it’s just a lot.

Not one big thing, just everything building up at once.

We speak to people every day who feel like this, trying to keep on top of things while it all feels a bit overwhelming underneath.

If that’s how it’s been feeling lately, you’re not the only one.

And you don’t have to carry it on your own.

If you ever need a bit of support, we’re here.

We’ve got some amazing news šŸ’™

We’ve received a grant from Global’s Make Some Noise to support the vital work we do helping individuals and families facing financial hardship, debt, and social isolation.

This funding will help us continue delivering life changing support, from money and budgeting advice to wellbeing and employability courses, reaching those who need it most in our communities.

We’re proud to be one of 39 small charities across the UK receiving funding for projects that make a real difference locally.

This support will provide a vital lifeline, helping ensure that nobody has to face life’s toughest challenges alone šŸ’™

Thank you to everyone who continues to support charities like ours!

Small wins really do add up to big progress.

Checking your bank balance. Paying a small amount towards debt. Asking a question or reaching out for support.

None of these are too small to matter.

You don’t need to fix everything at once, progress is built one step at a time. Be kind to yourself. You’re moving forward, even if it doesn’t always feel like it šŸ’™

We’re hosting a new and exciting ā€˜Save Money, Live Well’ event this February, to help people in our local community make their money go further.

Join us on Wednesday 4th February, 12pm – 4.30pm at Mary Tavy Coronation Hall.

The event will bring local people together, to discover the fantastic organisations available in their community. Delivered in collaboration with the Wiser Money partnership’s Transitions project, the event will have a particular focus on money saving, showcasing affordable services, money saving solutions and valuable community resources.

We’ll be highlighting local organisations and groups that provide valuable services across West Devon, from saving money on your energy bills and reducing the cost of your food shopping, to growing your own food, reducing pet care costs and protecting yourself from scams.

Don’t miss out on this fantastic event, it’s for everyone, so bring your family, friends, children or pets!

Plus… lots of freebies available, including veg bundles and recipes, pet treats, seed planting kits and of course, tea, coffee and sweet treats!

šŸ’™ Client story

Megan came to Navigate feeling overwhelmed by rising bills, debt, and the pressure of caring for her family. With support from Navigate and guidance from our Debt and Energy Adviser Tina, she was able to find a way forward.

Tina helped stop stressful home visits, supported Megan with essentials, and guided her through a Debt Relief Order that wrote off £11,141.

Megan is now paying her priority bills, has been offered a more affordable home, and finally feels hopeful again.

Debt isn’t just numbers. It’s people.
And with the right support, change is possible.
