The sports area has been completely refurbished thanks to an incredible group of local businesses who donated their time, skills and materials entirely free of charge to make it happen.

So if you're looking for a for 5-a-side football, basketball, tennis or netball venue, take a look at what's on offer.

🌿 Families: YMCA Daycamps are back for summer 2026 and we've made them bigger, bolder and more adventurous than ever!

This summer, children from Reception to Year 6 get seven themed weeks of outdoor adventure at our beautiful 11-acre site at Yew Trees Farm near Axbridge.

From archery and canoeing to beginner robotics and campfire cookery; no two days will be the same. Every day brings something new.

Running 20 July to 4 September, core hours are from 9.15am - 4pm (extended hours from 7.45am to 5pm).

Ofsted registered, so you can use Tax-Free Childcare.

🏀⚽🎾 Big news for Bridgwater! The Multi Use Games Area at the YMCA's George Williams Centre is officially back open ... and it's better than ever (take a look at our before and after photos and you'll see why!).

Thanks to an incredible group of local businesses who donated their time, skills and materials entirely free of charge, the sports area has been completely refurbished and is now ready for 5-a-side football, basketball, tennis, netball and more.

🏆 We're thrilled to share some incredible news!

YMCA Dulverton Group has won the DayNurseries.co.uk Mid-Size Group Award for the FOURTH year running and this one means more than ever.

Why? Because there are no judges and no panels; the awards are decided entirely by the families who trust us with their children every day. Having won now four times in a row, this places our six nurseries in the top 20 in the South West.

We're also really proud that Meadowside in Backwell and Barley Wood in Wrington both received individual nursery awards this year; and for Barley Wood, it's a first! Especially impressive given that DayNurseries.co.uk raised the award criteria significantly this year.

As Natalie Purkiss, our Head of Early Years, puts it: "We're grateful to our families for recognising our teams' hard work, passion and dedication with these awards."
