A facility for the community to promote and provide outdoor recreation, leisure and learning. Combining opportunities of education and outdoor activities for local institutions and charities as well as a sustainable organisation that generates revenue for operations through hire of the facility for sport and recreation:
• Water activities – fishing, canoeing, saili

• Nature experience – bird and wildlife watching, pond dipping, nature trails, outdoor classroom, alternative learning
• Social interaction – fire pit, common room

💧🏊🔥🍀 Swim & Sauna by the Lake 💕✨

This summer, the lake was alive with energy and ease. Young people splashed, jumped, and laughed in the sun, while older members enjoyed gentle swims and quiet moments in the sauna—every ripple told a story of wellbeing.

Thanks to a National Lottery grant, which helped convert a horsebox into a mobile sauna, these sessions created a shared space to relax, connect, and feel good—body and mind.

🌱 Young hands, fresh soil, and a whole lot of sunshine ☀️

This summer we welcomed a group of young people to a hands-on tree planting workshop. They spent a day planting baby trees, learning about nature, and reconnecting with the outdoors. Turns out, digging in the dirt is good for the soul - and the planet 🌍💚

We’re proud to create spaces where young people can learn, grow, and feel part of something bigger. Every tree planted is a promise to the future—and every muddy boot tells a story of connection.

Here’s to more days like this: full of sunshine, soil, and shared purpose 🌞🌱

✨2024/25: What A Year! Grants, Grit & Gratitude 🚣‍♀️⛺️🚴‍♂️🏊‍♂️

A huge thanks to our incredible supporters, volunteers & users. From kayaking and camping to swimming and cycling, we’ve shared so many unforgettable moments.

We were thrilled to receive a Hinkley Point C grant from Somerset Community Foundation —which helped us transform the old shepherd’s hut into a beautiful community space️, complete with a new barn toilet. This made it possible to run our Happy, Healthy, Holiday Club with Live Naturally CIC & Black Rock Outdoors, funded by SASP 🌟.

We also received a National Lottery grant to convert a horsebox into a mobile sauna - perfect for lakeside or seaside adventures 🌊.

Top memory? Watching 13 young people swim at Exmouth Beach in January, then warm up in the sauna while hail hammered outside ❄️🔥. Everyone was smiling, cosy, and full of joy 💙.
