🔧 Would this car pass its MOT?

That was the challenge for our mechanics group this week.

The young people worked through some of the key checks involved in an MOT, including seatbelts, vehicle controls and what could be seen underneath the car, before deciding whether it would pass or fail.

It was practical, hands-on learning at its best — asking questions, solving problems and developing a better understanding of how vehicles work.

And, judging by the final photo, sometimes the best way to find the answer is for everyone to get underneath and have a proper look! 🚗

These sessions are about much more than mechanics. They help young people build confidence, communication, teamwork and skills that feel relevant to the real world.

Learning through doing.
