Incredibly proud- huge congratulations to Cheryl!

Cheryl has achieved something truly incredible - completing the London Marathon in an amazing time of 3 hours 54 minutes!

Not only that, Cheryl has raised a fantastic £3,370.78 in aid of Powys health Charity. These funds will go towards purchasing vital equipment to improve respiratory services across Powys, making a real difference to people in our communities.

All of Cheryl’s hard work, dedication, and determination have truly paid off. We couldn’t be prouder of her, and we’d also like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated and supported this amazing cause.

Looked‑after children are among the most vulnerable in our society. When they need to leave a placement, it’s not uncommon for them to have little opportunity to gather their belongings, and often they have no possessions they can truly call their own.

The Powys Safeguarding Team and Powys Health Charity have been able to change this by funding and providing children with their own bags something they know is theirs filled with essentials such as pyjamas, toiletries, activity packs and a cuddly toy.

Powys Health Charity have also been able to provide larger bags for when children begin to gather new belongings, giving them consistency and a sense of ownership during times of change. The bags are age‑appropriate too, evolving as children grow, including make‑up and skin‑care bags for older young people.

The feedback from the children has been incredibly positive they’re happy, they love their bags, and they love what’s inside them. Sometimes, small acts can make a big difference.
