Get the cake out, it's our Birthday. On 26th October 2024 we officially opened the Shed and what great times we have had in this short time. We have worked on too many community projects to list. if you want to know more, please pop along on a Thursday morning and have a chat.

Over the last few months, the Shed has been working on many different projects and over the last week we have been out and about handing over the finished items.
1. Tombola Drum. The Braunton and District CRUK Fundraisers had asked if we could make a new bigger drum for their fundraising draws.
2. Bug Box. St Brannock's Church team had asked if we could make a large bug box to go outside the Church.
3. Replica Ship's Bust. Braunton Museum and Information Centre had asked if we could stabilise a paper mache bust for them which was damaged back in the 2012 floods. Whilst doing this we found a newspaper inside dated July 1930. As well as stabalising it, we made a stand so that it could be placed on the wall for all to see.

At the Shed this morning, we were pleased to welcome some of the ladies from Braunton Cancer Research UK Braunton and District CRUK Fundraisers to collect the new Tombola Drum which wthe Shed has made for them. It’s first outing will be at their Christmas Fundraiser in the Parish Hall. Please support them by purchasing some tombola tickets from them and test the new drum to its max.

Another great collaboration for the uk menshed

We have another exciting partnership to share with you — this time with Loxkin.

If you've ever spent an afternoon bringing an old project back to life, turning reclaimed timber into something useful, or giving materials a second chance rather than sending them to landfill, you'll probably find that LOXKIN's values feel very familiar.

LOXKIN is a UK social enterprise producing natural wood finishes made from h**p seed oil, with a mission to help keep wood in use for longer through care, maintenance, repair and restoration. Their focus on repair, restoration and making things that last makes them a natural fit for the Men’s Sheds movement.

And the really good bit? UKMSA member Sheds can now benefit from an exclusive 40% discount on LOXKIN products.

A big thank you to the LOXKIN team for getting behind the Men’s Sheds movement and supporting the thousands of Shedders who are keeping skills, materials and communities thriving. 🔧☕

You can find out more on the members section of the website.

We're looking forward to seeing the projects, repairs, restorations and creations this partnership helps inspire in Sheds across the UK.
