CALVING BINGO STARTS IN 2 WEEKS!🐮
This is our third year of running Calving bingo, and it’s been a lot of fun each time we’ve played!
How does it work?
We have90 heavily pregnant cows on a local farm, all due to give birth over the space of a few weeks from 20th February. Each cow has been randomly assigned a number from 1-90, and as they calve, they will act as our bingo machine.
We run this event through a one-way WhatsApp group, where only the Admins of the group can send messages to prevent your phone being a wash with notifications! Every day at precisely 7pm, the numbers of the cows that have given birth over the previous 24 hours. You then simply mark these numbers on your cards!
We try to make the messages a fun, a bit silly and sometimes educational to provide some extra entertainment, as well as including photos or the new Borns.
We have prizes for one line, 2 lines and a full house, much like normal bingo. Our full house prize this year is Sunday roast for 4 people, including dessert AND a bottle of house wine at The Crown Inn in West Down, which has very kindly been donated!
Tickets are £5 each, or a book of 6 for £25.
This year, Braunton YFC are raising money for The Devon Air Ambulance, FIG (families in grief), the Fern centre and Braunton YFC, which is a registered charity itself!

We are back collecting your Christmas trees on 4th January 2026.

Want the stress of disposing of your Christmas tree removed, Braunton YFC are here to help.

Please contact us Via Messager, Email or Text Beth on the information below to book in your collection for Sunday 4th January. Collections will be made late morning to early afternoon. Cash payments are preferred but if you're not going to be in, let us know and we can arrange an alternative.

Money is being raised for Devon Air Ambulance, FIG and Fern Centre and Braunton YFC.
*Trees will be disposed of appropriately

A massive Thank You to Braunton Young Farmers club who have fundraised on behalf of ESRT this year.

The class of 2025-2026! 🙌 Our Officer Training Weekend is underway!

Led by our incoming County Chairman Anneliese Retallick, this weekend we are welcoming over 50 club and group officers to Okehampton.

Thank you to David Chugg from NFU Devon for welcoming us all here and talking about the work of the NFU. They provide sponsorship for this weekend and we are very grateful for their continued support.

We’re looking forward to a busy weekend of workshops, getting to know each other and team-building activities!

Thank you for having us, it was wonderful to help raise more funds for our charities, even with the foggy conditions!

Thank you to Braunton Young Farmers for manning our overflow car park on Sunday …. They raised £240 for their club and chosen charities, which this year are The Ripple Effect and Exmoor Search & Rescue … great to see the younger generation getting involved and raising money for charity.
