Please note that there will be no Lunch Club, Souper Tuesday, or Moot Hall Café during the week of 2nd November.

We look forward to welcoming you back when our normal services resume the following week:

What a spectacularly spooky afternoon we had yesterday at our Halloween party!

The kids had so much fun making and devouring their terrifying treats—from tea cake spiders and tangerine pumpkins to graveyard cakes and scary apples! They made some absolutely wonderful (and wonderfully creepy) creations to eat.

Then we had a very special visit from Fauna, the Witch of the Woods! Everyone crept into her witches' den to help her brew up some real magic.

After surviving the witch's den, we played party games and had a wild round of pass the parcel.

massive, monstrous thank you to all our amazing volunteers who made it happen—with a special shout-out to our very own little devil, Taz, who was working like a demon behind the scenes in the kitchen!

We had a scream hosting you all and we really hope you enjoyed your spooky afternoon. Happy Halloween!

Little wildlife explorers club.
What a brilliant day we had last week. The kids loved every second of conker hunting, building bug houses, and carving pumpkins.

Don't forget to pop in to the Moot Hall tomorrow (Wednesday) between 9am-12pm and say hello. We have some fun colouring in for the spooky season while the adults sit and have a cuppa and a scone! We'll have a selection of other refreshments available to purchase as well as a range of leaflets to help keep you updated on the various groups, clubs and activates going on at the centre.

If you are in Brampton this morning don't forget to pop into the Moot Hall and say hello to Jen who has been baking fresh scones this morning.

Cumberland Council have launched their public consultation on the future of Brampton Library. The closing date for feedback is 25 November 2026.

Today, we're launching a consultation asking people for views on how library services will be delivered in Brampton and Longtown.

In particular, we're looking for feedback on several options regarding the location of the library buildings.

📆The consultation runs for six weeks and ends on Wednesday 25 November.

The consultation is part of the council's wider Libraries Fit for the Future programme, which aims make sure the service meets current and future needs.

Join Sustainable Brampton for their Community Apple Pressing afternoon 2-5pm on Sunday 18 October 2026.
'Bring your surplus apples (or someone else's!) and help press them into delicious fresh apple juice for you to take home. All pressing equipment is provided but please bring your own containers (plastic drink bottles are ideal). From 2pm to 5pm. Suitable for all ages of the family to enjoy, but suitable old clothing is recommended. This event is free but please let me know if you wish to attend or can provide some apples even if you don’t wish to press them yourself. I will bring lots with me as well so we won’t go short!
