Braintree District Mencap Caring and supporting people with a learning disability, their families and carers in the Braintree District.

We offer a wide range of leisure and educational classes for adults with a learning disability. Our Gateway Club runs every Thursday and is a social gathering of around 100 people, with a different activity every week.

☕💙 A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at the Braintree Learning Disability Coffee Event, held yesterday at Braintree Mencap in collaboration with Royal Mencap.

It was fantastic to bring together local organisations, professionals, adults with learning disabilities, and their families for a morning focused on health and wellbeing. Attendees had the opportunity to meet a range of local services, access valuable information and support, and connect with others in the community.

Events like these help ensure that people with learning disabilities and their families are aware of the resources available to support healthier, happier, and more independent lives.

Thank you to all the organisations who attended and shared their expertise, and to everyone who came along and helped make the event such a success. We look forward to seeing you at future events!
