Cards for Bravery is a charity dedicated to brightening the days of hospitalised and seriously ill children, people and their families mainly through the distribution of handmade cards. We provide a range o

f services, from the distribution of positive handmade cards, bravery packages and activity packs. This makes a huge difference to those going through some of their most tough and isolating times.

Beginning through the distribution to one hospital, we have grown over the years to delivering cards to hospitals and children all over the United Kingdom. So far, we have distributed over 20,000 cards and we aim to be able to do even more! For more information, please visit: www.cardsforbravery.com

Carers Week highlights the challenges faced by carers, and recognise the outstanding contributions they make to their families and communities.

Anyone looking after someone who has a mental or physical illness, a disability, an addiction, or requires any additional support as they age, is a carer.

Caring responsibilities can have a huge impact on the carer’s daily life and can impact relationships, school, finance, mental health and more. Some individuals may not be aware they are a carer and it is important people recognise when they are to get any support they may need themselves.

At Cards for Bravery, we want to acknowledge and thank all the amazing carers out there looking after young people living with long-term health conditions as what you do is incredibly valuable.

For more support as carer, find it at Carers UK, Carers Network, Care for Carers

Today marks one year since our 10th Anniversary Bravery Ball, and it feels like a good time to look back on what was such a special evening.

Celebrating ten years of Cards for Bravery was an incredible milestone for the charity and a very personal one for me as its founder. Seeing a room full of supporters, volunteers, partners, trustees and, most importantly, some of the children and families we have supported over the years was something I'll never forget.

The evening was a chance to celebrate everything we had achieved together over the past ten years, and to thank the people who have helped make it possible. It was a truly brilliant night filled with laughter and memories.

Looking back now, it's amazing to think about everything we have achieved in the year since. We've continued to grow, support more children and young people, develop new projects, and none of it would be possible without your support. As the year has gone on, there have also been some really exciting developments behind the scenes, and I can't wait to share more of what's to come.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, supported us, volunteered, donated or fundraised. The Bravery Ball was a celebration of all of you too.

This , Jess shares what we can and cannot control to help the environment.

Many of us in the disability space have no control in things like medical waste that is more harmful to the environment. That is why it is helpful to find ways other ways to do our part in helping the environment.
