Cards for Bravery These children and young people tend to be admitted to hospitals, hospices, CAMHS units or being cared for at home.

Cards for Bravery is a charity dedicated to brightening the days and improving the emotional wellbeing of hospitalised and seriously ill children, young people and their families across the UK. Cards for Bravery is a charity dedicated to brightening the days of hospitalised and seriously ill children, people and their families mainly through the distribution of handmade cards. We provide a range of services, from the distribution of positive handmade cards, bravery packages and activity packs. This makes a huge difference to those going through some of their most tough and isolating times.

Beginning through the distribution to one hospital, we have grown over the years to delivering cards to hospitals and children all over the United Kingdom. Today is , which shows the realities of living with arthritis and related musculoskeletal conditions.

Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA) is an autoimmune condition where the body's natural defences (designed to stop infections) begin to attack the joints. While arthritis is common in older adults, 1 in 1,000 children under the age of 16 have JIA.

We are currently accepting holiday cards which will be distributed to children and young people spending their holidays in hospital. Here is a reminder of our Holiday card guidelines!

We are still on a temporary pause for cards, but this , we are sharing some past cards we have received that helped brighten the days of hospitalised children around the UK.

Cards made by volunteers all around the world have positive messages to uplift children living with long term health conditions—a simple gesture can really make their day.

Stay tuned to find out when we will be accepting cards again!
