The Len Pick Trust is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Trevor Hollinshead – a man who has done so much for the good of our town over a many number of years. Our Trustees send their sincere condolences and best wishes to Trevor's family, and to colleagues at Bourne United Charities, at this difficult time.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Trevor Hollinshead, a trustee of Bourne United Charities since 2004, who passed away on 14th August 2025.

Trevor served as a dedicated member of our Board of Trustees offering guidance, unparalleled knowledge of Bourne and unwavering commitment to our work. Having served as Chair and vice-Chair on several occasions, his contributions have left a lasting legacy, and his kindness and dedication will be deeply missed. For many years he was the Chair of our Estates Committee, and his dedication to that work is reflected in the continual improvement of the parks and recreational areas that are owned and managed by BUC for the people of Bourne.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of working alongside him. We shall miss him deeply.

Royal British Legion - Bourne and District Branch has recently installed some new flooring at their social club in Bourne, supported by a grant from the Len Pick Trust. The Legion's committee members were able to give their facility a refresh, with some new fit-for-purpose carpet replacing the old, dated flooring.

The Royal British Legion do some fantastic work in our town, and Trustees were pleased to be able to support them with this project.

Grants from the Len Pick Trust have enabled LIVES to further their support to the community in Bourne. New equipment bags have been purchased for community first responders, and the charity is delivering bystander CPR sessions in the area.

Nikki Cooke of LIVES said: "The bags are a big upgrade from those that we’ve previously provided and ensure that all of the equipment that our responders carry is safe and easily accessible when it’s needed. Bourne will be one of the first areas to have the new bags thanks to the funding from Len Pick. We are still delivering bystander CPR sessions in the Bourne area thank you to the funding and support you’ve provided. To date we have been at the Toolbar Fair at the Corn Exchange, a young carers event at the Bourne Children’s Centre, the Lincs Voluntary Services Fair, and a garden event with nearly 100 people trained so far. We have two further events planned and are also trying to secure an event at Tesco in Bourne for a little later in the year. We have been in touch with every community venue, church and school to offer them a session and discussions continue."

LIVES provides an invaluable voluntary service across Lincolnshire, and The Len Pick Trust is delighted to support their work in the Bourne area.
