🌍🎉 CULTURE DAY, WHAT A WAY TO FINISH OUR SUMMER HAF! 🎉🌍

Today marked our final HAF session of the summer, and we finished in style with our Culture Day celebration! ❤️

It was brilliant seeing our young people and team celebrating the different cultures that make up our community — wearing their national colours, bringing flags, getting involved in face painting, activities, music and plenty of fun! 🇯🇲🏴🇨🇩🇮🇪🇮🇳🌎

Over the past four weeks, our HAF programme has been packed with new experiences, trips, sports, cooking, creativity, friendships and lots of memories. Seeing the young people enjoying themselves, supporting one another and trying new things is exactly what Be The Change is all about. 🙌🏾

A massive THANK YOU to our incredible staff, volunteers, partners and everyone who has helped make this summer possible and, most importantly, to all the amazing young people who joined us! 💙

That’s a wrap on Summer HAF 2026! ☀️

Our centre will now be taking a well earned break and will reopen on 7th September, when we return to our busy weekly schedule.

🚲✨ Today’s HAF Session at Be The Change! ✨🎨

Another brilliant day packed with fun, learning and new skills! 🙌🏾

🚲 Our young people took part in a Bikeability session, building their confidence on their bikes and learning important cycling and road safety skills.

💎 We also got creative with bracelet making, giving everyone the chance to design and make their very own bracelets to take home!

It was great to see everyone getting involved, trying something new and supporting each other. 💙

🥉 Bronze Duke of Edinburgh, Practice Expedition Complete! 🎒🥾

This past weekend, our young people successfully completed their Bronze The Duke of Edinburgh's Award practice expedition! 🙌🏾

It was great to see everyone working together, supporting one another and showing real teamwork, resilience and determination throughout the experience. 💪🏾👏🏾

This was an important step in their DofE journey, giving them the opportunity to put their skills into practice and prepare for the real challenge.

⏭️ Next step: their qualifying expedition next week! 🎯

Well done to everyone involved, one step closer to achieving your Bronze DofE Award!

🌟 HAF Anderton Centre Trip! 🚌🌳

What an amazing day we had at the Anderton Centre with our young people as part of our Summer HAF programme! 🙌🏽

It was great to get everyone out of the centre and into the outdoors, enjoying new experiences, taking part in activities and spending quality time together. 💪🏽🌿

For many of our young people, it was their first time experiencing activities like these, and it was brilliant seeing them step outside their comfort zones, encourage one another and, most importantly, have loads of fun! 😄

A massive thank you to the Anderton Centre team for welcoming us and to our staff and young leaders for making sure everyone was supported throughout the day. ❤️

🍕👨‍🍳 Our young chefs were hard at work today!

Today’s HAF session saw our young people make their own delicious pizzas before enjoying them with a side of chips. 🍟🍕

As well as having fun, they learned valuable cooking skills, teamwork and the importance of preparing their own meals.

🌟 HAF SummerBLAST – Week 3, Day 3! 🌟

Yesterday was another fantastic day at Be The Change as we continued our Cooking & Nutrition Week! 🍕🥗

Our young people enjoyed a brilliant session with Classroom Kitchen, where they made healthy wraps while learning about nutrition, healthy eating and food preparation. They also took part in an energetic MMA session and enjoyed a range of outdoor activities, making it another fun-filled day.

Today, our young people will be getting hands-on in the kitchen again as they make their own pizzas while continuing to learn about healthy food choices and cooking skills.

Tomorrow, we’re off to the Anderton Centre for one of the highlights of the week, where our young people will enjoy a day packed with adventure, teamwork and exciting outdoor challenges.
