Zac's Youth Bars Zac's Youth Bars is ran by the registered charity (1050020) "The Sycamore Project Ltd. Please give as generously as you can.

As a charity we provide access to free activities, information, advice, guidance and support to around 1,200 different young people each year in South East Bolton. Farnworth and the surrounding areas are some of the poorest, most deprived (top 5%) in England. 35% of children live in poverty, often resulting in them suffering from high levels of exclusion, bullying, emotional/social/family issues, loneliness, low self confidence, and ultimately having no hope for the future- leading to high levels of depression, self harm, and suicidal thoughts. Zac’s non alcoholic Youth Bars aim to bring hope to those who feel hopeless by running activities which provide an alternative way of learning and succeeding for young people often disengaged from mainstream education or socially excluded in other ways. Each year we work with over 1,200 young people helping them to see that there is a reason to live, offering a hope for the future – giving them the opportunity to break the cycle of deprivation and to develop to their full potential. Many children and young people at Zac’s need to be supported to overcome mental health issues, as well as other specific social, educational, and physical needs. We need your financial support to raise the money for activities, equipment and stationery to help these young people. As funding for charities from traditional sources, local authorities and trusts decreases there is an expectation of raising funds locally, something that is difficult in a disadvantaged town. Added to that, demand for our services has more than doubled over the last three years whilst income has reduced by 30% over the same period. Every penny therefore has been spent maintaining our work and not letting any young people down. You can make things better for young people and enable us to transform and help transform many more young people’s lives by pressing the donation button and giving us a gift.

“Zac’s has seen so much success and achievement from its young people but we want to do more. Their individual difficulties mean they need the extra support and encouragement that we offer - all children deserve to reach their potential, and we want to help them do that.”

Your support can make the difference in a young person’s life:
• £5 could provide coloured tints to help students with dyslexia to read
• £15 could provide half an hour’s one to one mentoring support
• £60 could provide a free healthy home cooked meal to 70 hungry children/young people.

• £350 could provide a young person a personalised programme aimed at preparing them for work, re-engaging in education, and developing the skills/abilities/qualities needed for success.
