A massive congratulations and BZ to Sgt Ramdeal who has officially been promoted to 2nd Lieutenant after passing his officers board this weekend at HMS Raleigh!

As the first step on the officer career ladder, the process isn't easy - he had to pass both Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the promotion board, meeting the exact same rigorous standards as any other officer candidate.

Since the rank of 2nd Lieutenant is specifically reserved for young officers aged 18–21, it is a truly massive achievement and an inspiration to all our cadets as to what is possible if you put your mind to it.

Some photos from the first couple of weeks of our boating season up at Jumbles Reservoir. Great to see our cadets enjoying themselves on the water and learning new skills in rowing, sailing and kayaking.

Last night saw our RNP Inspection by our new Area Officer Cdr Laura Wellington RN. Our cadets were amazing and pulled off a complicated display showcasing their seamanship, comms, first aid, leadership and teamwork skills.

I could not be more proud of how hard they have worked and how amazing each and every member of Bolton Sea Cadets is, both cadets and adult volunteers who dedicate their free time to be part of an outstanding team.

BZ to all and thank you to our parents for enduring a slightly chilly evening outside to come and support your children.
