The Society is sad to announce the news of the passing of Colin Dean. He was a seasoned performer who took various roles both in our pantomimes and shows as well as in musicals and plays for many other Societies around Bolton.

Behind the scenes he was also a natural entertainer – you always knew when he was in the dressing room because of his seemingly endless stream of one-liners and witticisms. But beneath this good-natured banter was a kind, sincere, warm hearted true gentleman who always gave his support in any way he could. He always welcomed newcomers through the door, and several debut performers will have fond memories of him taking them under his wing and gently giving them useful stagecraft tips. He was equally at home building sets and making props which were always of the highest quality.

He will be genuinely missed by his many friends, and our thoughts and condolences are with his family at this time.
