We are really looking forward to having Robbie McIntosh with us at St Laurence Church Weymouth DT3 5QE on Friday. He's bringing with him (in addition to a full band), incredible harmonica guru, Mark Feltham of None Below Zero.

Still some tickets left from www.ticketsource.co.uk/upwey-music or by telephone on 0333 666 3366. There’ll be a cash bar.

Robbie’s CV includes The Pretenders, Paul McCartney, John Mayer, Norah Jones and he's recently been touring with Eric Bibb. Mark Feltham is one of the country’s finest harmonica players. On top of his regular band, Nine Below Zero, he’s a seasoned session player and side man. You name them, he’s played with them - Rory Gallagher, Annie Lennox, Paul Young, Roger Daltrey, Oasis. The list goes on and on.

That's Robbie, left, and Mark, right. Not quite that alike IRL!

An absolute legend, performing in Dorset on 12 September!

One of England’s most revered folk performers, widely acknowledged as one of the finest acoustic and slide guitar players in the world, Martin Simpson's interpretations of traditional songs are masterpieces of storytelling. His remarkable solo shows are intense, eclectic, spellbinding and deeply moving. Always prolific, and never one to rest long without a guitar in his hands and a song in his head, Martin continues to travel the length and breadth of the UK and beyond giving rapt audiences passion, sorrow, love, beauty, tragedy and majesty through his remarkable intimate solo performances. Martin was nominated an astounding 32 times in the 18 years of the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards - more than any other performer - and has won numerous awards.

Martin is touring to launch his new album “Some Kind of Jubilee” recorded at Jackson Browne’s studios in Santa Monica and completed in Yorkshire it features an extraordinary ensemble of collaborators.

For his concert at St Laurence Church, Upwey, DT3 5QE he’ll be supported by old friend Jon Wilks, who played and sang for us a couple of years ago.
