A big thank you to Brick and Feathers for their kind donation of Halloween gifts for children staying on our Children's Ward this Halloween 🎃💙.

Their generosity will help bring smiles to our young patients and make their time in hospital a little brighter. Donations like this can make a real difference, helping create special moments for children and their families during what can be a difficult time.

Our Give a Gift tree tags will soon be available, helping us collect gifts for patients and families who need a little extra support this Christmas. If you'd like to display a tree and collect gifts on our behalf, we'd love to hear from you.
We're looking for businesses, health centres, community groups and other local organisations who would be willing to take some tags and support the appeal. Every gift donated helps make a difference to someone spending Christmas in our care✨.

This week colleagues, families and the local community came together to mark Baby Loss Awareness Week 💙.
The Service in Blackburn and Wave of Light ceremony created a space for remembrance, reflection and support for those whose lives have been touched by baby loss. Events like these are so important in helping families feel connected and supported.
A special thank you Friends of Serenity for their ongoing dedication to bereaved families across East Lancashire. Their compassion and commitment continue to make a lasting difference and we are incredibly grateful to have been involved in supporting such a meaningful event💙 🕯️.

Baby Loss Awareness Week (9 October – 15 October) is a time to remember the much-loved babies who died too soon and support families affected by loss💙.

There are two remembrance events happening this year supported by Friends of Serenity, our bereavement midwives, maternity teams and chaplains. A remembrance service will take place in Blackburn tomorrow (Sunday 11 October) followed by the annual Wave of Light ceremony on Thursday 15 October. These events offer a space for families, friends and colleagues to come together, reflect and remember.

A huge thank you to Friends of Serenity for the incredible support they continue to provide for bereaved families across East Lancashire. We are honoured to play a small part in supporting such an important cause and these meaningful events💙✨.

Can you donate books in good condition💙 📚? With your help, our book stall has raised over £8,000 since we started - with every penny going towards supporting patient care across East Lancashire. We’re now welcoming donations of good‑quality books so we can open a second stall at Burnley Hospital. If you’re having a clear‑out and have books to spare, your donation could help make a real difference. You can drop books off at our Charity hub in Royal Blackburn or at reception at Burnley General.

Congratulations to Cares Charity on the opening of its new Labels for Cares store in Clitheroe and on celebrating its 10th anniversary 💙🎉.
Cares Charity has been a valued supporter of ELHT&Me and ELHT, helping to fund cancer diagnostic equipment that is making a real difference to patients across our communities. The success of Labels for Cares shows how innovative fundraising can create lasting impact, with every sale helping to support earlier diagnosis and improved diagnostic services.

With help from fundraising and grants funding secured by our charity team, we have been able to provide sensory equipment on our Children’s Wards. This helps create a calmer and more supportive environment for children during their hospital stay.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone at Dugdale Memorial Bowling Club for raising an incredible £1,000 for ELHT&Me 💙✨. The club chose for the funds to be dedicated to mental health support within our Emergency Department, helping us provide enhanced wellbeing resources for both patients and colleagues.
We are incredibly grateful for their support of this important cause and for helping us continue to make a positive impact across our Trust 💙.
