✨ The 1V Awards 2026 took place over the weekend at the stunning Exchange Building in Blackburn, bringing together more than 350 guests from across the region to celebrate outstanding individuals, organisations, and community champions who are making a difference in Blackburn with Darwen and beyond.

Congratulations to Motunrayo Ainenehi, winner of the Aya Hachem Young Person of the Year Award 2026, sponsored by Blackburn College.

Motunrayo was recognised for her outstanding leadership, dedication to community service, and commitment to empowering young people across Blackburn with Darwen.

🎬✨ What a Night to Remember! ✨🎬

Over the coming days, we'll be sharing more photographs, videos, interviews, and highlights from the unforgettable 1V Awards 2026.

Held at the stunning Exchange Building in Blackburn, this year's Movie Night-themed celebration welcomed more than 350 guests for an evening filled with inspiration, recognition, entertainment, and community spirit. Oh, and not forgetting our 10 metre wide screen to give it a real cinema feel.

From our incredible award winners and inspiring interviews to the spectacular venue styling, red-carpet moments, fantastic food, and outstanding performances, the evening truly showcased the very best of Blackburn with Darwen.

We'll also be sharing some of the amazing video content captured throughout the night, including interviews with winners, guests, partners, and highlights featuring Blackburn Job opportunities and community success stories.
