Unfortunately this will be the last soup run for 3 weeks due to staff holidays. We will be back in September. Great day today praying with people for breakthrough in their lives.

Today us girl's have been busy bees. GG came over from Long ridge in Preston to chat about what she does with her charity Angel Gift's. Gina specializes working with men who have suffered childhood sexual abuse. It's not a nice or easy subject but we need to talk. If you're male and this is something you've been through and would like to seek help. Please take this as a nudge and reach out to us. Hopefully through prayer and petition, Gina will be coming to do a session in the Kairos lounge once a month. Please reach out if this has stirred something in you. It was great to see McMurtrie Gary today from the Light Group Bolton . It was a nice surprise. No light group today because we didn't have enough people 😢 but we did a bit of outreach and provided a drop in service. This is our team today, we had enough helpers to split and go on outreach and keep the hub open. We go again tomorrow...

Another great soup run today in Blackburn. Praying for people, lots of cream of chicken soup and bread served, cakes and biscuits and brews. Clothes handed out and hopefully will be seeing a homeless couple get into housing in the coming week. We prayed with someone with mental health issues and another 3 people with other needs.

Outreach today in Blackburn Town centre. We prayed with people and celebrated with a lady who has been street homeless for a long time who might finally have accommodation. Made lots of cups of tea and toast. We even introduced one of our Yorkshire based homeless pastors to Blackburn cathedral 😊

Our light group today was about honesty. Becoming humble enough to be honest about feelings and emotions. When we mess up (which we all do), do you sweep it under the rug and pretend nothing happened or do you own up and keep your side of the street clean? This is our light group crew today.

Hello we are Matthew and Wendi. We are now your fully qualified homeless pastors for Blackburn, after recently taking over from Nigel.

We are open at the Kairos lounge on King Street on Thursday 11:30am until 2pm for tea, toast and some God time.
Friday is outreach Day and we will be open from 11am until 3pm. If the lounge is closed when you arrive, we have just nipped into town to chat with people and will be back soon. 😊

Every Saturday soup run up in town, under the bridge. 12pm until around 3pm. We will be serving soup and rolls and lots of snacks.

We welcome donations of clothing, toiletries, tents, sleeping bags, old mobile phones and financial donations, plus many more types of donations.

We are also in need of volunteers in Blackburn, so if you're interested in helping out on any or all of these days, please message us. 🙂
