When we stay active, our muscles naturally absorb blood sugar and use it for energy.
But for many adults living with chronic pain, knowing how to start exercising safely can be a major challenge.
That is why we created our Sihat sessions. We bring local people together to focus on health in two ways:
🏃♂️ Gentle, Safe Movement: low-intensity, seated exercises that start slow and build up gradually. It is completely tailored to what your body can handle, helping to lower blood sugar and protect your heart without strain.
🍏 Interactive Health Education: practical presentations on diabetes prevention. We break down the facts about nutrition, lifestyle choices, and how the body works, giving everyone the knowledge they need to make healthy choices at home.
We are equipping our community with the skills, safety tips, and confidence to stay active and healthy for life.
