UPDATE DAY 3
the new pop up museum, signposting and recruiting hub project,
We are working hard just want to give a big shout out to Colonel Stevie Davies MBE for is kind donation which will now make our task much easier, we are doing this project from our own pockets due to lack off funding,
Also a missive thank you from 4th Battalion The Duke of Lancaster's Regiment and Scott Dawson Advertising , The Small Sign Company for you continued support,

Last but not least our biggest supporter Chris Stapleton who dedicates a monthly fee to our great cause,
We are nonprofit nonsalary fully volunteer run , putting all our hearts and souls into bringing military history to the people 🎖️🫡

🇬🇧 BRINGING MILITARY HISTORY ALIVE TO BURNLEY TOWN CENTRE 🇬🇧

The Veterans Living History Museum CIC (VLHM) is proud to announce plans for a new Pop-Up Military Museum in Burnley Town Centre.

Our mission is simple:

“Bringing the Museum to the People.”

Through original artefacts, uniforms, equipment, military displays, and the personal stories of veterans, we will be bringing over 100 years of British military history directly into the heart of the community.

Visitors will be able to:

🎖️ Explore military history from WW1 to modern operations
🎖️ View authentic uniforms, equipment, and artefacts
🎖️ Meet veterans and living history volunteers
🎖️ Learn about remembrance and military service
🎖️ Access information and support for veterans and their families
🎖️ Discover volunteering opportunities
🎖️ Learn more about the Army Reserve and the role of the 4th Battalion, Duke of Lancaster’s Regiment

This project is about more than history. It is about preserving stories, supporting veterans, inspiring future generations, and strengthening connections between our Armed Forces and the wider community.

As a volunteer-led, non-profit Community Interest Company, everything we do is driven by a passion for education, remembrance, and supporting those who have served.

We are excited to bring this unique experience to Burnley and look forward to welcoming schools, families, veterans, community groups, and visitors of all ages.

Together, we can ensure that the sacrifices, achievements, and stories of our Armed Forces are never forgotten.
