ernational offices. The Al-Imdaad Foundation has registered offices in UK, Indonesia, Jordan, Australia, Kenya, Bangladesh and head office in South Africa. These offices are established to take care of our various projects in these regions and to act as fund raising partners. The foundation is at an advanced stage to establish further representative offices in other parts of the world. The UK commissioners of International Relations and Cooperation and its various embassies are kept informed of our activities globally.

A companion, Hakim ibn Hizam (RA), kept coming back to the Prophet ﷺ asking for assistance. Three times he asked. Three times the Prophet ﷺ gave — until he ﷺ said: "This wealth is like green, sweet fruit. Whoever takes it without greed, Allah will bless it for him. Whoever takes it with greed, Allah will not bless it for him — he will be like one who eats but is never satisfied. And the upper hand is better than the lower hand" — the giving hand, not the receiving one. [Sahih al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim]

In other reports, he said: "Whoever seeks self-sufficiency, Allah will make him self-sufficient." Moved by this lesson, Hakim (RA) vowed never to ask anyone for anything again — and kept that promise for life.

Self-sufficiency is something sought and earned through effort. Dignity was never meant to be optional. And work is a means to reach it. Not charity that ends at the door. Charity that empowers someone to be that better, upper hand.

🚨 EMERGENCY APPEAL: NEPAL FLASH FLOODS
A glacier has collapsed in the Himalayas, sending ice, rock and water tearing through villages on the Nepal-Tibet border. In seconds, homes were gone. Bridges were gone. Families had nothing left but each other.
 
The death toll keeps rising. Hundreds are still missing. And  thousands of survivours are sleeping in the open with no food, no clean water, no shelter.

Zakat is not a tax. It is a transaction with Allah.

We prepare for Salah with intention. We prepare for fasting with du'a. We prepare for Hajj with tears. Zakat deserves the same preparation.

Before you give, do muhasabah. Tell Allah you love this wealth. Tell Him you are giving it anyway, for His sake, because He asked. Then ask Him to accept it.

Zakat means to grow. You are not losing money. You are planting it with the One who owns everything.

Give it like it's the best decision you'll make all year. It is.

July 2026: flash floods and landslides across South Asia. Over 1.1 million people affected in Bangladesh. 700,000 displaced in Assam as the Brahmaputra overflows. 109 deaths recorded in Pakistan since June 26. The situation is active and changing fast.
