We’ve secured £20,000 in National Lottery funding!

We are absolutely delighted to announce that Birtley Community Centre has been successful in securing £20,000 of funding from The National Lottery.

This funding will help cover staff wages, allowing us to coordinate and develop the community projects that make such a difference to local people.

This includes our youth projects, community garden and food provision, helping us continue to support families, young people and individuals across Birtley.

Having dedicated staff time to organise, develop and deliver these projects is so important to making sure we can continue the work we do and reach even more people in our community.

A huge thank you to The National Lottery Community Fund and everyone who plays the National Lottery for helping make this possible. Our project was made possible thanks to players.

This is a really positive step forward for Birtley Community Centre and we’re excited about what we can achieve together!

🎄 Help us spread a little Christmas kindness! 🎁

The Birtley community has already been incredibly supportive of everything we do at the centre and we honestly can’t thank you enough. Your generosity makes such a difference.

As we start preparing for Christmas, we’re now looking for donations to help us put together our Christmas hampers and support our upcoming children’s Christmas events.

We’re particularly looking for:
🎁 New toys
🍫 Selection boxes
🍬 Sweet treats

Here’s a little challenge for our community…

If everyone who is able to donate could bring in just ONE selection box, we would have enough for every child who visits the centre this Christmas. Just imagine how many smiles that could bring!

Every donation, big or small, will be hugely appreciated and will help us make Christmas that little bit more special for local families and children.

Thank you Birtley. You really are amazing and we’re so lucky to have such a supportive community behind us. ❤️

📍 Donations can be dropped off at Birtley Community Centre.

🎆 What a fun night at Kids Zone!

We enjoyed some hot dogs, got creative making our own firework fruit skewers and finished off by making our very own little bonfires!

We also held a firework colouring competition and the entries were so good that we just couldn’t pick one winner! We ended up choosing a few winners instead. Well done to everyone who took part!

Lots of creativity, plenty of fun and some lovely creations to take home.

Another brilliant Kids Zone evening! ❤️

We've got some tasty bonfire treats lined up and the children will be getting creative with a special Bonfire Night activity.

Looking forward to another fun filled evening with everyone!
