🚰 Can you be our Bembridge Community Hero?

1st Bembridge, St Helens & Seaview Scouts are looking for a local plumber, handyman, or someone with the right skills to help us install an outdoor tap in a lockable cabinet at our Scout Hut on Mitten Road.

We can fund the materials and make a contribution towards the installation – we just need the right person to help make it happen.

Looks like our Beavers had a absolute blast at their recent Beaveree 🤩

Not only did the beavers declare…
“it was the best camp ever ever ever”
They went and won 2nd place in the group fancy dress comp!
And Sequoia got 1st place in the 5-6yr category….🦖🦕

This weekend we took our Scouts to Corf Scout Campsite and had an incredibly active and HOT weekend. 🥵🥵🥵

They all did amazingly well and the Group came home with a few prizes.

We entered the pioneering competition and came 3rd overall which is a huge accolade for us as a group. Well done to all of the Scouts who got stuck in with that. We were given a model of a structure they needed to out together and they managed to complete in the fastest time. Something fantastic to build on next year. 🤩

Also, due to the size of our group we were able to field 4 teams into the annual raft race and we won every race we were in. It was a timed event rather than heats and our Bembridge D raft came home with the win. We were already reigning champions so now, let's go for 3 in a row. 🙌🙌

Other than a few insect bites the weekend went off without a snag even with the heat.

22 Children and 5 Adults camping is no small feat and our Scout Leader James Hazell deserves a bucket load of credit for everything he put into this weekend. It woulsnt have been anywhere near as successful without him.

Thank you to everyone who participated in this weekend and a massive thank you to those people who have helped us by sponsoring our events, hoodies, food.

Last week the fabulous Theo Vickers Marine Wildlife Photography took our Scout Patrol down to Bembridge Beach to investigate the rockpools on a Beach Safari.

It was such an incredible experience and we all learnt so much. 🙌

If you get the chance to take part in one of his 'beach safaris' - do it - you won't be disappointed. It gave our group a new found love and admiration for the rockpools right on our doorstep.

What a wonderful way to spen a Tuesday evening.
