Ryde Sea Cadets

Ryde Sea Cadets Ryde Sea Cadets are based at Old Fire Station, Ryde. We are open to young people aged 10-17 who want to get involved!

Training activities we do include: Sailing, kayaking, rowing, band, adventure training, Duke of Edinburgh's Award and much more! Sea Cadets gives young people the opportunity to experience amazing adventurous opportunities both ashore and on the water. Including the chance to sail on TS Royalist the flagship square rigger for the sea cadets, take part in adventure training, learn sailing, power bo

ating, canoeing, rowing and windsurfing and diving. We also have opportunities each year to attend international exchanges around the world, and participate in Duke of Edinburgh Expeditions from Bronze to Gold levels. All our acitvities are led by well qualified enthusiastic instructors

⚓️ Our very own Tom Bridger has officially completed his Royal Navy Basic Training at HMS Raleigh! ⚓️

💙 On Friday 5th June, he took part in his Passing Out Parade, surrounded by the love and support of his family and friends. A truly unforgettable moment for everyone. 💙

❌A water pollution incident has happened near Ryde and the Environment Agency has advised against bathing and swimming in and around the Ryde area ❌

🧼 Try not to come into direct contact with contaminated water. Sewage water can contain bacteria and viruses that may cause illness. If you do- wash with soap and water- hand sanitiser does not kill all viruses which can cause illness.
