A huge congratulations to several of our BYP participants who have recently completed our latest Breaking Barriers course.

Over five weeks, the project supports young people in developing new skills with a focus on pre-employability, confidence, resilience, and personal development. The programme is kindly funded by the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Community Foundation.

A big thank you to the members of the Bay Business Association who joined us for the final session, helping young people to develop their interview and networking skills through positive and engaging conversations. We'd also like to thank Joe Redstone for facilitating such an excellent course.

🎉 What a fantastic half term week we had at Bay Youth Project! 🎉

Our week was absolutely jam-packed with fun activities and new experiences!

🎪 We kicked things off with Circus Skills alongside Brave Island, where everyone had the chance to learn some amazing new tricks.

💪 We headed down to the Sandham Garden’s Playzone for Girls’ Strength & Conditioning Training, building confidence, strength, and teamwork.

⛳ We enjoyed a golf session with Shanklin & Sandown Golf Club, giving young people the opportunity to develop their skills on the course.

🛹 We also took to the ramps with John Cattle's Skate Club for a brilliant skateboarding session.

🎬 Back at LINK, as well as Drop-Ins & our first screening of Film & Snacks Night, young people got creative during our Movie Trailer Making Session, writing, filming, and editing their own trailers.

🎨 At Hub Create, everyone made festival-ready headbands, bracelets, and designed tote bags to take along to this year’s Isle of Wight Festival.

A huge thank you to all our partners, the staff of the Bay Youth Project and the young people who made the week such a success. 💚💙

Out and about across the Bay Area, Box Fit, Football & Netball continue 🏐

Please see posters and scan the QR code for more info 📲 As always, all sessions are open access, however we advise booking to avoid disappointment. Community activities and LINK drop-in’s don’t require booking and operate on a 1st come, 1st come basis! 💙
