What a fantastic day at our LORAG Spooktacular Roller Disco! 🛼🕸️ We couldn’t have asked for a better way to finish off our Halloween programme! 🧡🖤

A huge thank you to all the families who came along, joined in the fun and helped us make such special memories together. We hope you all had as much fun as we did! 🥰

🎃👻 HALLOWEEN FUN AT LORAG CHILDREN’S PROJECT! 👻🎃

What a spooktacular Halloween break we’ve had so far! 🧡🖤 Our children have been busy making memories, having fun, and enjoying lots of exciting adventures! 🍂✨

🎃 WHAT AN AMAZING NIGHT WITH LORAG YOUTH! 🎉

Another fantastic night for our young people, with LORAG Youth joining forces with our partners at Lower Ormeau Youth Hub and Ledley Hall! 💚🙌

We have groups out making memories and enjoying some brilliant experiences, with one group taking part in the Féile an Phobail Halloween Carnival Parade 🎃👻, while another group is away in Ballintoy on a cross-community residential, building friendships, strengthening relationships and having a great time together! 🤝❤️

It's great to see our young people getting involved, trying new experiences and making memories that will last a lifetime!

A massive thank you to all our staff, volunteers and partners who continue to make these opportunities possible. 👏

Great times, great memories and plenty more to come! 💚🖤

Brilliant creative, colourful, buzzing intercultural celebration last night as part of LORAG’s week of events celebrating the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, where we head into a period of rest and darkness.

Amazing fashion show with stunning costumes from:
China
Vietnam
Bangladesh
Nigeria
Sudan
Somalia
Botswana
Cameroon
Ireland - a traditional Irish dancing costume and more modern hip hop outfits.

We had dancing too with world class Irish dancing, fantastic hip hop, wonderful dancing from Somalian, Bangladeshi, Ethiopian, Eritrean dancers - you were all BRILLIANT.

Delicious food too from Sudan, Somalia and Sudan and a gorgeous display of Sudanese tea making.

Thanks to all the participants who made this such a night to remember and delivery partners: Happy Women; Northern Ireland Somali Association and Flowers of Belfast - what a team!!!

Due to limited numbers, this event is ONLY open to children already registered with and attending Lorag Children’s Services, and their families.

🚫 This is a closed family event, not open to the general public.

We can’t wait to see everyone for an afternoon of spooktacular fun! 🎃🛼🧡

Last day in the garden today until the spring. Lovely food for the last day and guidance from
Neil at Divergent Growth for managing our remediation plot over the winter. Lovely to host Divergent Growth’s group today who normally meet in Gairdín an Phobail. Good to have that connection.

Great work in the garden this year, a bumper crop of vegetables and some amazing flower growth.

The remediation patch has developed too, with a clear plan for healing the contaminated soil in the garden with nature based solutions, aiming to restore biodiversity and create a long term ecological asset for the community.

A big shout out to Divergent Growth for remediation advice and guidance. A big shout to all the community gardeners too who maintain the garden throughout the year. Special mention for Gerry who gives us all advice and spends so much time maintaining and developing Gairdín Abhann, helping it to be a much loved and used green community space on the river Lagan.
