1st Wootton Brigades (Bedfordshire), are Uniformed Youth Organisations working with Girls aged 4 to 1

This is our Public facing Facebook site for 1st Wootton (Bedfordshire) Brigades to keep you informed of what we do. Anyone interested in joining can contact us via the links here. We have a further Private Group for Active Members, Families, Leaders and Ex-Members, Joining is by Request Only

Since our formation in 2016, we have already grown to 60 members, and play an active part in our community.

Hi, our Brigades groups are holding a Fundraiser THIS Saturday (Sat 28th Feb) at the Methodist Church.

Do please pop along in the morning, 9:30am -12 midday for tea/cake and maybe even a sneaky bacon bap... We hope you'll be able to support us. In the evening we'll be having a Board Games event (if interested pls msg me for more details). This is also part of the fundraiser.

All donations welcomed as we are seeking to raise £2000 to support our members to attend events, including a European Band Tour in Oct to Belgium and France. Thank you.

Our Sunday morning childrens group at Wootton New Life Methodist Church has been really blessed this year with a number of new children coming along. We still have space for a few more (ages 4-12). To come a find out about the Bible stories and the Bibles Treasure - and an added bonus... Its FREE to attend.
Time: 10:30 - 11:40am. We also have an optional breakfast beforehand from 10:00am which is also very popular.

This week, the 1st Wootton Brigades (at the Methodist Church) will celebrate our 10th Birthdays since we formed the companies in 2016. We've had lots of adventures over the years and have some exciting plans for this year too, including 3 camps (1 abroad).

We will be having a fundraiser on 28th Feb at our Church to support our 10th Anniversary projects. More details nearer the date.

Last Night 1st Wootton BB took part in the England & Wales Regional Final for the Masterteam Competition in Hemel Heampstead, against 1st Guildford, 5th Gloucester, 32nd Nottingham, 54th Sheffield and 2nd Sutton Coldfield.
A really close competition saw 54th Sheffield and 1st Guildford progress to the UK Finals whilst we finishied as the 5th best team throughout E&W for the 2025-26 Session !

Our Anchor Boys crew onboard Spaceship Adventure is having a blast, but our command center tells us we have room for even more to join in the fun ! 🪐
We’re searching the galaxy to find at least 4 extra members to join our crew and explore a universe of fun, learning, and friendship.

A busy weekend for the Wootton Brigades. On Saturday Girls Brigade members attended a Young Leaders training day, whilst our Senior Boys entered a team into the National Quiz, and by coming 2nd in a group of 8, have progressed to the next round.
Today a 40+ contingent from 1st Wootton attended the Village Remembrance Parade with our band leading it. Excellent turnout to pay our Respect and Remember Them.

1st Wootton had a great day at the National 10 Pin Bowling Championships yesterday, entering teams into both age groups. We competed against teams from Gloucester, Sheffield, Stafford, West Brom, and more. Its a brilliantly run competition and if your company hasn't been yet, book your place for next years event ASAP - you won't regret it. Whilst our younger team didn't make the cut for the knockout stage, our Seniors reached the National Final and came away with the 3rd place trophy !

Treasure Seekers - Wootton New Life Methodist Church
RESTARTS Next Week on SUNDAY 14th SEPT

Our children's group, Treasure Seekers, (a mixed age group for children/youth ages 5-18), & is free to take part, starts a new series on 'SHARING OUR TREASURE'. We'll be looking at how we can be the Light in the World, and making a start on Christmas Shoeboxes as part of Operation Christmas Child.

New members to Treasure Seekers are most welcome to join us. Sundays, 10:30am, at Wootton New Life Methodist Church, Cause End Road. Just come along (Children can be dropped off/collected, similar to Brigades).
