On Saturday, Bedford Town U9 Blues were privileged to be invited to play in a football festival at Tottenham Hotspur's Elite Player Development Centre.

The boys played four matches against Tottenham pre-academy teams in the superb venue, cheered on by very proud supporters.

After a settling-in period, the team found their rhythm, worked incredibly hard, held their own, and scored some lovely goals.

It was a great afternoon of memories made and new experiences together. We hope the team can take some of the lessons learned and apply them in their own matches going forward.

Most importantly, the boys were a credit to themselves and the club, receiving compliments from the Tottenham coaches throughout the day.

A huge thank you to Tottenham Hotspur.

Awesome Goalkeeper training session this evening with First team goalkeeper Laurie Walker and his excellent coaches.

The players were switched on and engaged from the start and learnt so much from the experience.

Huge congratulations to our Senior team who have reached the 4th qualifying round of the FA Cup following this evenings replay victory in London…. The 4th qualifying round takes place on Saturday the 17th at the Eyrie….. Win that and it’s a big if…. We will be in the 1st round proper and could pull a Sheffield Wednesday or a Leicester City. We have an amazing FA Cup pedigree in history but we could be on the brink of creating a whole new chapter. COYE!

Bedford Town u16s kicked off their season in style at Kingsfield, with a 4-2 win over Dunstable Town in the Bedfordshire Youth Saturday League.

The new Eagles side were made to work hard for the win, with the visitors coming back from two early goals.

New signing Jerome led the line, pouncing on any defensive errors, using his power and pace to give his side a two goal lead. But defensive errors just before the break let Dunstable back into the game after Bedford failed to deal with a high bouncing ball.

Dunstable started the second half strong and the game was getting physical as the key moment of the game arrived half way through the half. The lively Dunstable winger picked up a loose ball on the edge of the box to lash home a quality strike.

The equaliser seemed to take all the energy out of the visitors and it was Bedford who stepped up their game to find the win.

Ethan ran onto a long ball that caused confusion in the Dunstable defence to sneak in his shot as the keeper was scrambling back. William clipped in the fourth with a neat finish after a goal mouth scramble that put the game to bed with just five minutes remaining.

Bedford welcome early league leaders Stopsley to Kingsfield this weekend.

⚽️☀️ Bedford Town U9 Blues are back! ☀️⚽️

On a glorious Sunday morning, the Bedford Town U9 Blues got their season underway, taking to the pitch for the team's first league match at 7-a-side.

It was a fantastic way to start the new campaign, with five players making their debuts for the Blues. This season we're taking on the challenge of playing a year up in the U10 division, and most pleasing of all was seeing the team work together, support each other and show real confidence in keeping the ball on the floor and passing their way through the game. For a squad with several new faces, there were already some great signs of the teamwork and togetherness we're looking to build this season.

A huge thank you to all the parents, families and supporters who came along and cheered the boys on from the sidelines.

We're excited to see how this team develops over the weeks and months ahead. Here's hoping the football continues to improve and the sunshine sticks around too! ☀️💙⚽️
