💛 Tomorrow is World Mental Health Day 💛

Our teams at Great Denham Youth Club, Brickhill Youth Club and Potton Youth Club are wearing yellow to raise awareness and show young people that they do not have to face difficult thoughts and feelings alone.

Our youth clubs offer welcoming, supportive spaces where young people can talk openly about their mental health. Our empathetic youth workers are there to listen without judgement, give young people the time and space to explore their thoughts and feelings, and encourage them to think about what might help.

Sometimes, simply feeling heard can make a real difference. We are proud to stand alongside young people and remind them that their thoughts and feelings matter.

For more information on our youth clubs and other services please visit www.4ypuk.com or email [email protected].

What an awesome day yesterday at our Ready2Lead? conference!

Simon Everitt and Lorna Godden were delighted to welcome more than 100 students from 9 local schools who came together for an inspiring afternoon of ideas, leadership and action at Bedford School. A huge thank you to our brilliant speakers—Becky Masih, Urban Judge FRSA and Zach Marlow, and our students from last year’s programme: Ava Camino and Megan-Rose Otter from St Thomas More and Erika Groza and Aisha Ali—whose stories and insights encouraged everyone to think boldly, step forward and make a positive difference in their communities.

We were delighted to welcome students from:
· Bedford Girls' School
· Bedford Greenacre Independent School
· Bedford Modern School
· Bedford School
· The Bedford Sixth Form
· Biddenham International School & Sports College
· Kimberley 16-19 STEM College
· Mark Rutherford School
· St Thomas More Secondary School and Sixth Form

Thank you to every student, teacher, speaker and supporter who helped make the event such a success. We can’t wait to see where this year’s Ready2Lead? journey takes you!

We’re delighted that 4YP UK Ltd’s delivery of Bedford Giving’s Blue Lights: Taste of the Workplace programme has been named a National Finalist and Runner-Up in the Career Development Institute Careers Education Awards, recognising 4YP’s contribution to careers education and employer engagement!

The award recognises the success of the programme and 4YP’s role as delivery partner in providing young people practical, hands-on insight into careers across the emergency services, bringing schools, employers and community partners together to raise aspirations and broaden horizons.

From a 30-pupil pilot to a full year-group experience at Wixams Academy, this recognition celebrates the power and impact of collaboration between education, employers and the voluntary sector in creating engaging career-related learning experiences that raise aspirations and broaden horizons.

A huge thank you to Bedford Giving, Wixams Academy, Bedfordshire Police, BLMK Primary Care Training Hub, Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service, Magpas Air Ambulance, East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust and the Local Authority Road Safety team.
