For many autistic people, a meltdown isn’t just about managing overwhelming emotions or sensory overload β€” it’s also about fearing how others will respond.

In this clip from Autism: No Filter, Lucy opens up about the anxiety of having a meltdown in public and the distressing thought that someone might pull out their phone and start filming during one of her most vulnerable moments.

Autistic meltdowns are not entertainment. They are not content. They are moments that deserve compassion, understanding, and privacy.

In this clip from Autism: No Filter, Lucy shares how discovering a sensory room in a shopping centre helped make everyday life more accessible and less overwhelming.

It's a great reminder of why sensory-friendly spaces matter and the positive impact they can have for autistic people and their families.

Wellbeing Wednesday!

A little late in posting, but last week the team braved 30Β°C heat for a friendly(ish) game of badminton! There was plenty of competition, lots of laughs, and a great opportunity to step away from our desks and spend some time together.

Our weekly wellbeing hour is a reminder of how important it is to look after both our physical and mental wellbeing. Taking time to recharge helps us stay healthy, focused, and resilient, while activities like this also strengthen teamwork, communication, and the relationships that help us work effectively together every day.

🏸A great effort from everyone involved – even in the heat! 🏸
