It was an amazing turnout at the Autumn fair on Saturday at St.Andrew's Church Hall. All the kids...and parents had a fab time, so a big thank you for everyone that took part in the Scarecrow trail.
Whilst all Scarecrows were absolutely amazing, today's visitors voted for four winning Scarecrows
Our final winner is Dolly Parton who receives a voucher from Designer Travel by Rachael West
Congratulations
Also a big round of applause and thank you to Jane & Vicky and chums for bringing this massive task together and making it a great annual event for everybody to get involved in. Roll on the 5th Scarecrow trail!

The Port Sunlight International Piano Festival.
Here's an event that takes place in the Lady Lever art Gallery in Port Sunlight over the weekend 26th-27th of September. It's being brought to you by local pianist William Bracken who has quite a track record with recitals at New York's Carnegie Hall and London's Wigmore Hall.

If you’re thinking of what you can do tomorrow, then why not come down to Bebington Civic Centre and see what the Brighter Bebington team have done to brighten up the front of the Civic Centre.

It really is a breath of fresh air and a fantastic and much needed improvement to the area and a great place to just sit and relax and enjoy the view of our wonderful village.

We have also managed to get the front doors to the centre open again to the public so you can now access the Library and Medical centre as well as the public toilets within the centre.

We’re delighted to have The Mayor of Wirral performing the official opening ceremony at 12 noon and our event is followed at 1.30pm by The Rose And Crown’s Summer Party with the magnificent Thwaites Shire Horses on hand and the Rose & Crown also have got food available from Manna Foods and some great live entertainment for everybody to enjoy, so come down and make a day of it.

LOST RAY-BAN SUNGLASSES APPEAL
On Sunday the Brighter Bebington team were out and about in Bebington Village removing the winter Poyanthus and replacing them with the wonderfully colourful non stop Begonias. More about this soon, but one of the team lost her Ray-Ban sunglasses whilst planting. If you have found them, would you be kind enough to contact us via the Brighter Bebington page or alternatively, drop them into our chums in the Rose & Crown.
